Ticks can be actively looking for hosts anytime the temperature reaches above 4⁰C. Ticks primarily hang out in wooded areas, tall grasses and in leaf litter. After spending time outside with your dog, it is always a good idea to check for ticks. Medications can be given to dogs to kill any tick that feeds on your dog. By giving your dog one chewable tablet, medication is effective for 12 weeks of flea and tick protection, leading to a worry-free summer!
